We've been enthusiasts about the Corvair, America's original sports sedan, for many years. As enthusiasts we share an admiration and appreciation for the unique styling, engineering, handling, and interior design of the only rear-engine, air cooled sports sedan ever made in America.
What orginated as America's answer to the rear engine, air cooled Volkswagen in 1960 became America's first sports sedan - paving the way for the Ford Mustang and the "pony cars" and opening the U.S. market for European sports sedans like the BMW 1600.
We love celebrating our cars, sharing our knowledge and experience and enjoying the companionship of other enthusiasts. That's why we created Dirigo Corvairs.
